1. What Dishboard is
Dishboard is a news aggregator. We pull publicly published RSS feeds from third-party news outlets, run their headlines and summaries through an AI model for light copyediting, and display the result with a link back to the original source. We are not the publisher of the underlying news content.
2. Data we collect
We use Google Analytics to understand aggregate traffic patterns - things like which categories and regions are read most, general device type, and approximate location at the country/city level. We do not require an account or collect personal information to read the site.
3. Cookies & advertising
We work with the Adsterra advertising network to display ads. Adsterra and its partners may set cookies or use similar technologies to serve ads based on your browsing activity. You can control cookies through your browser settings; blocking them may affect how ads display but won't affect your ability to read articles.
4. Third-party content
Article briefs on Dishboard are AI-generated summaries of reporting by third parties (including but not limited to Premium Times, Punch, The Cable, BBC, The Guardian, NPR, France24, RFI, and CBC). Each brief links to the original article; that publisher's own privacy policy governs your interaction with their site once you click through.
5. Translation
If you use the language selector, page content is passed to Google Translate to render in your chosen language. That translation is handled by Google and subject to Google's own terms and privacy policy.
